When defining a pricing plan, we tried to made it fair for everyone. The problem is
that some users may create a chart with 10 policies and others with 200 policies.
Billing users according to the amount of time spent in the system would be fair
because those who entered 10 policies would spend a lot less time in the system compared
to someone entering 200 policies. However, this wouldn't be fair to users with a
slow connection, and it can cause problems for those users who didn't exit properly from
the system.
We did come up with a plan that
looked at the amount of policies a user enters. This seemed simple and would not
penalize users who spent a lot of time learning the system. The only drawback is
that a user will be billed for each policy he/she enters. This could cause some
people to be afraid that they will be billed for mistakes. Hopefully the cost for
making a mistake is small enough that it will not alarm anyone.
The following is an outline of our basic
pricing plan. Please send all comments and suggestions to sales@cochart.com.
- $200/Project + $5/Policy.
Main-accounts will be billed $200 for each new project. If you create a project
accidentally, do not add any policies to it. Delete it and you will not be
billed.
In addition to the project charge, there will be a $5.00
charge for each policy added to the project.
Charges will be calculated at the end of each month and added to the main-account invoice.
- Quantity Discounts. If you are using
the system frequently (more than 3 times a month), then you may qualify for a price
reduction. To see if you qualify, send an email to sales@cochart.com with an estimate of how many users
you have and how many projects you plan on generating/storing each month. A
representative will contact you soon after.
